Angela Merkel quarantines after contact with coronavirus infected


German Chancellor Angela Merkel, 65, was quarantined after having contact with a coronavirus-infected doctor. The announcement was made by government spokesman Steffen Seibert on Sunday afternoon, 22. According to the Associated Press news agency, the doctor who contracted Convid-19 had given Merkel a vaccine last Friday.
Angela Merkel was informed of the case after she released new restrictions to combat the pandemic on Sunday. Germany has already registered 31 deaths from coronavirus and has 13,000 confirmed cases.
