This year marks the 150th anniversary of the cemetery. The estate of Robert E. Lee was turned into a burial ground during the Civil War, in part to spite Lee, a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy.

Pope Francis returns to Rome after visit to Holy Land
Pope Francis finishes his three-day trip to the Holy Land, Monday. The primary goal of the trip was to improve Catholic-Orthodox relations, but Francis has weighed in on the region's daunting problems, addressing the Israel-Palestine conflict, the civil war in Syria and calling on Muslims to not "abuse the name of God through violence." On his final day before returning to Rome, Francis will visit the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall, the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Search for 3 missing people in Colorado mudslide
Three people are still missing after a massive mudslide officials estimate to be 2 miles wide, 4 miles long and about 250 feet deep in many places. The area around the mudslide was determined to be unstable and rescuers planned to resume their search Monday.
