Aaron Hernandez to be arraigned for double murder
Another step in what is expected to be long and involved court proceedings against former New England Patriot tight end Aaron Hernandez will take place Wednesday afternoon in Courtroom 906 of the Suffolk County (Mass.) Court House. Hernandez will be arraigned on two counts of first degree murder in the drive-by shooting deaths of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu in Boston in July 2012.
Obama makes speech at West Point
A day after President Obama announced how many troops will stay in Afghanistan, he goes to West Point today to deliver the commencement address. He talks more about Afghanistan and his foreign policy. Critics and other Republicans have accused Obama of foreign policy weakness in dealing with Russia's incursion into Ukraine, civil war in Syria, and the geo-political challenges of China.
Edward Snowden does first U.S. television interview
Nightly News anchor Brian Williams' interview in Moscow with former NSA contractor Edward Snowden will appear on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET. Snowden says he's more than just a hacker or systems administrator, as the Obama administration and media have portrayed him.
Serena and Venus hit the court at the French Open
Serena and Venus Williams will get back on court in the second round of the French Open on Wednesday, with a sister vs. sister meeting in the next round a distinct possibility. Serena, the defending champion and top-seeded player, will face Garbine Muguruza of Spain on Court Suzanne Lenglen. On the main court, Venus will take on Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia.
Person stashing cash around S.F. to hide loot in San Jose and beyond
The anonymous millionaire who has been stashing $20 and $100 bills stuffed inenvelopes around San Francisco announced via the Twitter handle @HiddenCash that he plans to expand into San Jose on Wednesday, Los Angeles this weekend and maybe New York City next month. @HiddenCash, says he is between 35 and 45 and that he gave away $4,000 between Thursday night and Sunday.
