Putin slams Clinton: 'Better not to argue with women'


Russian President Vladimir Putin took a swipe at Hillary Rodham Clinton, responding to her criticism of him with a swipe at her gender and toughness.
“It’s better not to argue with women,” Putin said in an interview that aired Wednesday on French TV and radio. “But Ms. Clinton has never been too graceful in her statements.”
Amid the crisis in Ukraine in March, Clinton likened Russia’s occupation of Crimea to theactions of Adolf Hitler in the 1930s prior to invading Eastern Europe. The former secretary of State also called Putin a “tough guy with a thin skin.”
ABC News posted a transcript of Putin’s interview, in which the Russian president called Clinton’s remarks “extreme.” Putin went on to say that someday he and Clinton could share a  laugh, but his remarks didn’t sound light-hearted. Here’s more from Putin:
