Dog owners live longer

Having a puppy to call his own implies a risk of death up to 33% lower. This was shown by a Swedish survey

The simple presence of a best canine friend improves health. And  science has proven this on a number of occasions : in addition to having a  body up to

10 years younger, lower stress levels and less likely to get colds, dog owners tend to have lower blood pressure  -  a key factor for heart problems . It is believed that the explanation for all this is in an active life: having the commitment to take the furry for a regular return by the neighborhood justifies the fact that pet owners exercise more and are also less depressed.
Since welfare interferes directly with longevity, it would not be absurd if pet parents and mothers lived longer. That's exactly what a group of researchers at the University of Uppsala in Sweden found: having a puppy involved a 33 percent lower chance of dying.

The study lasted 12 years and considered databases of 3.4 million Swedes. All the participants were between 40 and 80 years old, and the average age was at age 57. Among the information analyzed were their medical history, marital status and whether they lived with a dog or not. Pet owners, in addition to dying less of natural causes, were also 11 percent less likely  to die from heart problems. According to Mwenya Mubanga, one of the authors of the study, the effect appeared mostly for those who did not have a human company to call their own.
"Having a dog was a differential especially for those who live alone. According to previous studies, loners have a higher natural risk of cardiovascular problems and death, "he said in an interview with Bloomberg . "It seems that dogs are true family members for single people."
