Philippine President sings love song 'at Trump's behest'

                                     You are the light of my world", says music sung by Rodrigo Duterte during gala dinner in the Philippines

The turning Donald Trump of Asia was punctuated by another curious episode on Sunday. During a gala dinner hosted by the Philippine government on the eve of the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the President of the Philippines , Rodrigo Duterte , he sang a romantic song on stage "at the request of Donald Trump ."

Ladies and gentlemen, I sang unexpectedly under the command of the commander in chief of the United States, " Duterte announced after his short presentation with singer Pilita Corrales, one of the country's best-known voices. 

Trump is spotted by local cameras with a smile on his face, commenting to other global leaders at dinner.

The Philippine representative took the microphone to sing the song Ikaw ("You" in Filipino). The opening verses of the song say: "You are the light of my world, half of your heart is mine".
