Washington — the President of the United States, Donald Trump, admitted on Thursday that your lawyer, Michael Cohen, gave money to the adult movie actress Stephanie Clifford, known as Stormy Danielsin October from 2016 to keep her quiet about an alleged sexual encounter she had had with Trump. It was the first time that the President showed your involvement in the case.
According to tweets published this morning, Trump said that was done a confidentiality agreement to "stop the extorsivas and false accusations made by her about an affair, despite having already signed a detailed letter admitting that there was a case".
The comments were made a day after Republican Rudy Giuliani, who recently joined the legal team of Trump, saying the President repaid Cohen at $130,000. Giuliani suggested that Cohen made the payment without the knowledge of Trump at the time.
"Mr. Cohen, a lawyer, received a monthly amount, no relation to the campaign, as repayment for a contract known as a confidentiality agreement," wrote Trump on Twitter.
