Former Egyptian president ill and dies during court hearing

He was serving time for falsifying documents during the 2012 election campaign



A leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country, he was overthrown a year later in July 2013 by a military coup amid a series of protests against his government. 
He currently served a seven-year sentence for falsifying documents during the 2012 election campaign.
