Trump accuses former government of bad conditions in immigration detention centers

WASHINGTON - Accused of keeping immigrant children in detention centers for weeks without enough food, medical care or even basic hygiene supplies, such as soap or toothpaste, US President Donald Trump blamed the previous administration for the poor conditions on the premises.
"This has been happening long before I get here," Trump said in an interview with NBC. - In the government of President Obama there was separation. I'm the one who broke it. Now I said one thing: when I finished with that, I said: do you know what will happen? More families Earlier, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat in Congress, had asked religious leaders to pressure Trump to cancel deportations.
In a statement, Pelosy said deportations could "inject terror into our communities" and aim to destroy families, and urged religious leaders to convey to Trump the "value of refugee resettlement programs."
According to CNN, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was preparing an action to detain and deport about 2,000 immigrant families in 10 cities that have removal orders issued in court.
"The people wanted by ICE have already ordered their deportation. That means they are circumventing the law and the courts. These people should already be back in their countries. They broke the law by coming to the country and they disrespect it when they stayed here, "Trump said on Twitter.
As part of the agreement with the United States, which has been criticized internally , Mexico also pledged to send 6,000 members of the National Guard to the border with Guatemala. The country has been speeding up since April the deportation of Central Americans entering the country to the United States. In May, more than 132,000 people were arrested while trying to cross the American border, the highest monthly since 2006.
will show up. And that's what happened.
A day before a mass deportation operation, scheduled for Sunday,Trump announced its postponement for two weeks. Despite this, he warned that the strikes may happen again if Congress does not find a solution to the Mexican border with the United States.
"At the request of the Democrats, I delayed the Illegal Immigrants Deportation Process for two weeks to see if Democrats and Republicans can come together and work together for a solution to asylum and porosity problems in the Southern Border. Deportations will begin, "the president wrote.
About ten days ago, Mexico and the United States signed a migration agreement to stop people trying to reach the United States along the southern border, from Central America and through Mexican territory. Even so, on the eve of the Republican's re-election campaign on Oct. 17, Trump promised to deport millions of illegal immigrants living in the country.

Even so, Trump fulfilled another promise and announced last week the permanent cut of hundreds of millions of dollars of aid destined for El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras - the so-called North Triangle of Central America, one of the most violent regions in the world, and origin of tens of thousands of immigrants attempting to cross the American border.
