Trump says he would accept information from foreigners about electoral rivals
US President Donald Trump said in an interview with ABC News that he would not necessarily warn the FBI if a foreigner offered him information about his rivals in the 2020 election.
"It's not interference, they have information, I think I'd take them," Trump told journalist George Stephanopoulous.
An investigation conducted by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections in which Trump defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton concluded that he could not exempt the president from committing crimes but that there was no compelling evidence to prosecute him.
Last week, Mueller indicated that the US Congress could, however, sue the president - not a reference to impeachment.
