British Ambassador Calls Trump 'Inappropriate' and 'Unsafe'
US ambassador to Washington Kim Darroch described US President Donald Trump as "unfit", "insecure" and "incompetent" in secret reports sent to London.
The documents were unveiled by the tabloid Daily Mail and created a skirt fair for the diplomat and the British government, a loyal US ally in the international scene. According to the paper, Darroch used stealth channels to alert London that the White House is "extraordinarily dysfunctional."
In the reports, the ambassador recounts internal conflicts in the US government and warns that Trump may be "indebted" to Russia, in addition to claiming that US economic policies risk "destroying the world trading system."
"We do not really believe that this management will become substantially more normal, less dysfunctional, less unpredictable, less diplomatically unfit," Darroch wrote. Prime Minister Spokeswoman Theresa May said the leak was "absolutely unacceptable" and did not agree with the assessments, but stressed that she has "full confidence" in the diplomat.
Trump said he was "never a big fan" of Darroch and that he "did not serve" the UK.
