Trump fires another witness in impeachment case

Within hours of dismissing Ukraine's National Security Council expert , Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, President Donald Trump dismissed Gordon Sondland, ambassador to the European Union.
They were two of the most important witnesses in the investigation against him that investigated Trump's efforts to pressure Ukraine to help him against political rivals.
In a statement, Sondland expressed gratitude to the President of the United States for the "opportunity to serve the country".
For six months, Trump was investigated. His impeachment was approved in the Chamber of Deputies, but he was acquitted by the Senate on Wednesday 5. The president was accused of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
The investigation focused on a July 25, 2019 telephone conversation in which Trump had asked Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to conduct an investigation against the Biden family in exchange for the release of a $ 390 million frozen military aid.
