U.S. Secretary of Justice accuses Trump of making his job difficult

The Attorney General of the United States , William Barr , charged on Thursday, 13, Donald Trump hinder their performance ahead of the Justice Department, saying the tweets of the American president were making "impossible" their work.
"I have a problem with some of the tweets," Barr said in an interview with ABC News, adding: "I can't do my job here in the Department with constant comments that weaken me." "I believe it is time to stop tweeting about Justice Department cases," he concluded.
Next month, Barr is due to testify before Congress about the decision, allegedly under pressure from Trump, to reject what was resolved by his own prosecutors and seek a lighter prison sentence for veteran Republican political consultant Roger Stone, who was convicted. for lying to Congress and testifying witnesses.
Four prosecutors in the department resigned last Tuesday in apparent protest over political interference. Trump denies that his tweets about the Stone case, in which he criticizes the original sentence of 87 to 108 months in prison given to Stone and praises Barr after the sentence has been cut in half, presuppose political interference.
Asked about speaking to Trump about the Stone case, Barr replied, "Never." "I am happy to say that, in fact, the president never asked me for anything about any criminal case," he said.
As for whether he was prepared for the repercussions he will have if he says something against the president, Barr replied: "Certainly." "I will not be intimidated or influenced by anyone," he said, "whether by Congress, the newspapers or the President, I will do everything I think is right."
Stone, a longtime friend, former Trump adviser and campaign advisor, faces up to seven to nine years in prison after being convicted last November for lying to Congress about the Russian interference investigation in the 2016 United States elections.
Stone is 67 and will face his sentence on February 20. He was convicted of lying to Congress about his contacts with the WikiLeaks organization about the Democratic email leak during the last presidential election.
