Elizabeth Warren ends campaign for The White House

Senator Elizabeth Warren decided to end her campaign as a pre-candidate for the Democratic Party for the Presidency of the United States on Thursday, 5, according to the American press. Warren's decision comes a day after the release of the results of Super Tuesday, the party previews in 14 states and an American territory. The senator did not get good results in the polls and came third in Massachusetts, a state she represents in the Senate.
Considered progressive, Warren was vying for the same constituency as pre-candidate Bernie Sanders. She is expected to declare support for her rival because, according to the American press, the two campaigns were already talking about this possibility on Wednesday 4.
The senator was known for advocating deep reforms in the United States economy, such as regulating the financial sector, which she considered to be the main culprit in the 2008 economic crisis that led the country to the largest recessions in its history. Subjected to tough rules by Barack Obama's Democratic administration, the industry was liberated by the administration of Republican Donald Trump.
Warren's collapse began to escalate as Sanders' popularity increased, according to Real Clear Politics. In October, the senator reached 26% of voting intentions, but her campaign lost strength to reach 13.5% this month.
With his departure, the Democratic party splits between the leftmost wing, represented by Sanders, and the more moderate, with former Vice President Joe Biden.
