Spain expands quarantine; France closes non-essential public places]
In the wake of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the governments of Spain and France hardened this Saturday, 14, the rules of operation of establishments and free movement of inhabitants. The World Health Organization (WHO) has released that Europe is the new epicenter of Covid-19.
The Spanish government, for example, has imposed almost total quarantine on its citizens, who will only be able to leave home for reasons of work or maximum need. Pedro Sánchez's government announced a state of alert in Spain, which counts more than 5,700 infected with Covid-19.
France, punished with 4,500 infected and 91 dead, announced the closure, starting at midnight, of "all non-essential public places", such as bars, restaurants and cinemas. This Saturday, France entered phase 3 of the epidemic, which means that the coronavirus is present throughout the territory.
In the case of the French, only trades related to food, pharmacies, banks and gas stations can remain open. Prime Minister Edouard Philippe called for the population to limit their travel, reduce meetings with family and friends and only attend the workplace "if physical presence is indispensable".
