Why did Elon Musk change his Twitter logo to 'X'?
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino unveiled the social media platform's new logo — a white X on a black background — that will replace the iconic blue bird.
In a tweet on Monday morning (7/24), Yaccarino announced: "The X is here!"
The way to refer to "tweets" will also be replaced, according to the platform owner, Elon Musk , and the posts will be called "Xs".
Musk changed his profile picture to the new logo image and added "X.com" to his Twitter bio.
On Sunday (23/7), the billionaire had stated, through the platform, that he wanted to change the symbol of Twitter. "Soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all the birds," he tweeted.
Afterwards, he shared a photo of the new "X" brand projected on the side of Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco, USA.

Musk, who changed the company's name to X Corp, said the switch "should have been done a long time ago".
He posted an image of a shimmering "X" on Twitter, and later, in an audio chat on Twitter Spaces, replied "yes" when asked if the Twitter logo would change.
Yaccarino wrote on the platform that the rebrand was an exciting new opportunity.
"Twitter made a huge impression and changed the way we communicate," she tweeted.
"Now the X goes further, transforming the global town square."
The bluebird is named Larry, which Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said in 2011 was a tribute to basketball star and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird.
