Control blood glucose with vinegar!

Acetic acid is an ally in controlling blood glucose.

Would not it be great if there were a simple ingredient that, when added to meals, avoid that glucose from rising too?

Actually, there is. It is acetic acid, the component that gives the sour taste characteristic bitter vinegar and pickles.
 The effect may be significant.
In a small study conducted in the USA, people who ate a bagel (bread donut-shaped) of 85 g and a buttery orange juice - a complimentary breakfast with high glycemic load - realized that the blood glucose shot in the next hour
. But when, in addition, also took a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (with sweetener to improve taste), glucose level after a meal was 50% lower!

A similar decline occurred when they took the vinegar with a meal of chicken and rice.
Scientists do not yet know exactly how the acetic acid acts, but know that interfere with enzymes that break down the chemical bonds of starches and sugars found in table sugar and milk.
Thus, the body takes longer to convert these foods into glucose.
Other researchers believe that acetic acid keeps food in the stomach longer and so they are digested more slowly.
It can also accelerate the pace at which glucose passes from the bloodstream to the muscles.
No matter how, but it works, and take advantage of it is as easy as adding vinegar in salad and other dishes and eat a sandwich with pickles for lunch. Lemon juice also has "astringent powers" and seems to help control blood sugar. -
