Four decades after Margaret Thatcher's arrival in power, what has changed in women's political participation?

40 years ago, theUnited Kingdom was entering a new era. Elected on May 3, 1979,Margaret Thatcher was the first woman to rule the country, as well as a great Western power. The prime minister entered history as the greatest exponent of the liberal and anti-state political wave that crossed the British borders in the following years.
