June 2019 was the warmest ever recorded on Earth

In the summer of the northern hemisphere, it made an impressive 46 ° C in France. And the southern hemisphere winter also recorded higher temperatures than usual.

If you had a feeling that last June was too hot for this time of year, you were right. Taking the whole planet (continents and oceans) into account, June 2019 was 0.95 ° C warmer than the 20th century's global average. Considering only the recordings made on the continents' surfaces, the situation gets a little worse, setting 1.34 ° C above average.
It may seem little to laymen's eyes, but this "hot" global warming made last month the warmest June of the last 140 years of registration, according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) . According to the agency, it was the first half of the hottest year ever recorded in various places around the globe, such as South America, New Zealand, Alaska, Mexico, East Asia and the Atlantic and Indian oceans.
And it can't be said that the increase was not visible: in Western Europe, for example, a strong heatwave at the end of the month caused thirteen sites in France to record their highest temperatures in history - including the commune Gallargues-Le Monstrueux, which fried locals and tourists marking a peak of 45.9 ° C. Other highlights of sweating in the Old World are Austria, which averaged 4.7 ° C above average in June, and Germany, which peaked at 39.6 ° C.
In the Americas it was no different: in June, Alaska had its second warmest month since the state began keeping records in 1925. And July promises not to be outdone: on day 4, for the first time in history, it was 32 degrees Celsius. Anchorage , the largest city in the state. In Argentina, the monthly average of June was 1.5 ° C above usual. In Brazil, it increased by 1.4 ° C.
