Amazon is criticized for reproducing the Holocaust in Hunters series

The Auschwitz Museum criticized Amazon on Sunday 23 for trying to stage the Holocaust in its Hunters series , launched on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service, and for selling Nazi propaganda books. Hunters , released on Friday and starring Al Pacino, features a team of Nazi hunters in the 1970s in New York who discover that hundreds of Nazis have fled to the United States.
However, the series faces accusations of bad taste, mainly for representing fictional atrocities in Nazi death camps, like a human chess game in which people are killed when a piece is removed. The lament is that, seventy-five years after the liberation of the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz by Soviet troops, world leaders and activists are in full campaign calling for action against the growing anti-Semitic sentiment.
“Inventing a fake game of human chess is not just dangerous nonsense and caricature. It also welcomes future deniers, ”tweeted the Auschwitz Museum. "We honor victims by preserving factual accuracy." The Auschwitz Museum is responsible for preserving the Nazi death camp in southern Poland, where more than 1.1 million people, mostly Jews, were killed in gas chambers or died of starvation, cold and disease.
On Friday, the museum retweeted a letter from the Holocaust Educational Fund to Amazon asking that anti-Semitic children's books by Nazi Julius Streicher, who was executed for crimes against humanity, be removed from the platform. "When you decide to profit from the sale of anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda, published without any comment or critical context, you must remember that these words led not only to #Holocausto, but also to many other hate crimes," wrote the Auschwitz Museum in Twitter this Sunday.
